Lingerie is a term derived from the French word 'lin' for linen. In English terminology, Lingerie describes women's undergarments, which have erotic appeal. These trendy garments are especially designed using visually attractive fabrics such as Lycra, nylon, satin, lace or silk.

Most of the women choose lingerie based on its visual attraction, sexy appeal and soothing to eye irrespective of the other features. In addition, most of us do this mistake. Ladies, there are other necessary features that need to be considered while buying undergarments. If you are not making a proper choice then the results are not going to be favorable. Most women are facing problems such as itching and skin disease by making wrong selection of undergarments. Thus, it is very important to spare time before choosing your product.

Few tips that can be helpful while buying lingerie:

- Fabric - Fabric is the major consideration while buying lingerie. See the fabric and decide whether it is convenient to wear in the particular climate, whether it is suitable for your body type or not. Use of synthetic fabric is also not advisable. Sometimes the fabric can cause itching or any other skin ailment in the body. For example wearing silk lingerie in hot and humid environment can result in itching.

- Purposeful - Lingerie should compliment clothing, it should be fashionable but at the same time should be functional as well. The garment should have required amount of ease and fit so that it is comfortable to wear.

- Design and Appeal - Lingerie should be designed to provide comfort as well as visual appeal. It should not be hanky-panky that you feel hassled to carry it etc. Lingerie should be sexy, posses' erotic appeal but should look elegant as well.

Lingerie is the integral part of women's clothing and it is not a one-minute decision. Therefore, keep in mind comfort ability while choosing for you.
